An 85-year-old driver was ticketed following an accident on U.S. Hwy. 27/441 at the entrance to Rolling Acres Shopping Plaza.
Robert A. Van-Valkenburg of Lady Lake was turning into the shopping plaza at 12:40 p.m. Feb. 20 when his vehicle struck a 2014 Toyota Tacoma pickup driven by Dailen W. Downing, 58, of The Villages.
Van-Valkenburg was ticketed on a charge of careless driving, according to an accident report from the Lady Lake Police Department. His vehicle had to be towed from the scene.
