A senior official with the Boston Red Sox is bringing his three World Championship rings to The Villages.
The event will be held Sunday, March 8 and will begin around noon at Lake Sumter Landing Market Square, according to Art Plant, head of the Red Sox Nation Club in The Villages.
Recently, a large crowd gathered at Lake Sumter Landing to greet the Red Sox Equipment Truck when it rolled into The Villages before heading off to spring training.
Last year, the Red Sox’s three World Series trophies made a trip to The Villages and was shown off at Brownwood Paddock Square.
The rings belong to Charles Steinberg, senior vice president of the Red Sox, who will also speak at the March 8 event.
