Bruins knock the Relics out of first place

The Bruins use 5 OTF Home Runs to power past the Relics. They were led by Player of the Day, Dave Schultz, who had 2 OTF Home Runs and a double. Dave, who was an 11th round pick in the draft, has 3 on the year.  Leon Domsic hit his 3rd OTF of the year. Bill Cecil, just back from injury after missing 2 months, hit his 1st OTF of the year.  Sub Randy Oates added an OTF Homer also. The Relics were led by Glenn Lansky, who had a perfect 3 hit day including his 2nd OTF Homer of the season and 4 rbi’s. Felix Rodriguez added 3 hits and 2 rbi’s. The Bruins move to 9-4, while the Relics drop to 9-3, 1/2 game out of 1st place.

The Canes hit 4 home runs to beat the Flyers in a wild one. In the 1st inning, Dave Norval hit his 6th OTF Homer of the season, a 3 run shot. In the 3rd, Dennis Graves, yes Dennis Graves, hit his 1st OTF Homer of the season, a 3 run shot, followed by Jim Kitzler’s inside the park homer. In the 4th inning, manager Dave Sellars hit his 1st OTF Homer of the season, a 3 run shot, giving the Canes a rare 6 run inning. The Flyers, who had 27 hits, were led by Bill Moore, who hit his 1st career OTF Homer. Billy also hit for the cycle and hit 1st career OTF Homer for Talon Wealth in a Half-Century tournament last weekend. Donny Meyer, one of six Flyers with 3 hits, hit his 2nd OTF Homer of the season. The Canes move to 4-8, while the Flyers drop to 2-10 and they can’t wait for the playoffs to start.
