A 60-year-old Lady Lake woman was arrested Wednesday night after a safe containing drugs was found in the trunk of her vehicle.
Glenda Sue Norris of 1212 Padgett Circle was pulled over by a Lady Lake police officer after she failed to stop at a stop sign. She gave the officer permission to search her car and she also told him she had a safe in her trunk containing drugs.
In the safe the officer discovered pill bottles containing Oxycodone and Lorazapam. Norris did not have a prescription, according to the arrest report. Norris told the officer she was keeping the pills for people for whom she was caring. Also discovered in the safe was $335 in cash.
Cannabis was also discovered in her purse, the arrest report indicated.
She was booked at the Lake County Jail where bond was set at $4,000.
She is due for arraignment June 29 in Lake County Court.
