Phyllis C. Rankin, 71, of Wildwood, FL, passed away Sunday, June 7, 2015 under the loving care of her family and the staff of Lane Purcell Hospice House. Mrs. Rankin was born June 22, 1943 in Georgetown, KY to the late Cecil and Nellie Cariel. She moved here in 1968 from KY and was a retired office manager. Phyllis was attending the First Baptist Church of Leesburg and enjoyed bowling, camping, fishing and being with her family. Survivors include her children, Tina Dailey (James) of Wildwood, Karren Langston of Fruitland Park and Darrel Rankin (MaryAnn) of Wildwood; brothers, Bud Cariel (Sherry) of Wildwood, Danny Cariel (Jan) of Winter Garden and Jerry Cariel (Sandy) of Wildwood; 4 grandchildren, Jessica, Kyle, Janae and Erin; 4 great-grandchildren, Samuel, Cheyanne, Elizabeth and Khale. Visitation for Phyllis will be 6 – 8 p.m., Thursday, June 11, 2015 with funeral services being held 11 a.m., Friday in the Banks/Page-Theus Chapel and interment following in Pine Level Cemetery, Oxford.
