A 27-year-old man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for burglarizing a Lady Lake home this past October.
Antwan Brockington pleaded no contest to a charge of burglary Wednesday in front of Judge Mark A. Nacke in Lake County Court.
The judge also ordered Brockington to pay the costs of his incarceration which will add up to $273,750, according to court records.
Brockington has a long history of arrests in Lake County, including previous arrests for burglary.
The Lady Lake burglary took place Oct. 1 on Padgett Circle. Witnesses said they saw two men loading tablet computers, video game consoles and televisions into a gold Chevy Suburban.
Brockington’s accomplice, 22-year-old Kevin Rawlings of Wildwood, was sentenced Thursday by Judge Nacke.
Rawlings, originally charged with burglary, pleaded no contest to charges of trespass and petit theft. He was sentenced to time served. He had been arrested about a week after the burglary after law enforcement received a tip from the public. After Rawlings’ arrest, a warrant was issued for Brockington.
Rawlings had previously been charged in 2013 with petit theft in Sumter County. He had also faced a charge of marijuana possession in 2013 in Lake County.
