A 30-year-old Lady Lake man has been sentenced to 364 days in the Lake County Jail after pleading guilty Monday to a weapons charge.

Paul Robert Hopkins, a resident of the Oakleaf Village apartments, was sentenced by Judge William G. Law in Lake County Court on a charge of possession of a firearm by a felon.

Upon his release from jail, Hopkins will serve three years probation.

He had been arrested in October by Lady Lake police. At the time of his arrest he had also been charged with using a firearm while intoxicated, discharging a firearm in public or residential property, disorderly intoxication and possession of marijuana. He was sentenced to time already served on those charges.
