Roy “Bill” Nance, age 87, of The Villages, FL, passed away on 11 July 2015. Bill was a WWII veteran and served 6 years with the U.S. Navy and finished his 20 year career with the Air Force. Some of his service duties took him to Japan, Guam, and Hawaii. He proudly participated in the “Honor Flight” to Washington D.C. in 2013. Bill and his wife Rita moved to the Villages in 1994 and began Teaching Ballroom Dancing. From 1995-2011 they instructed over 19,000 students. Rita passed away on 19 April 2015. Bill was greatly involved in his church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints located in Belleview. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor and outgoing personality. Bill is survived by his Daughter Paula Wombacher and husband Jeff and Julie Bullock, brother Vernon Nance, Niece Joanie Patrick, 5 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 12975 SE 55th Avenue Rd, Belleview, Florida on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at 10:00 AM. There will be a viewing for family only. Immediately following the service the burial will take place at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida at 1 p.m. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cornerstone Hospice, 601 Casa Bella, The Villages, Florida.
