Samantha Merritt, former executive director of the Sumter County Chamber of Commerce, has accepted a position at Tangent Media.
Merritt began her career at the chamber in 2010 after more than 10 years in hospitality management. In 2013 she was appointed interim executive director and served in that capacity for only six months before being officially offered the position. She also oversaw the development of the chamber’s new website and recent move to a larger and more efficient office space. Merritt resigned from her position in July.
Tangent Media, based in Wildwood, is a multimedia advertising and marketing agency.
