To commemorate Constitution Week Sept. 17-23, John Bartram Chapter of The Villages, Daughters of the American Revolution, donated two dozen new children’s American history books to Fruitland Park Elementary School’s Library on Sept. 11.
The gift of these books about the American Revolution and the Constitution is one way John Bartram Chapter fulfills DAR’s goals of promoting patriotism, enhancing education and preserving history, said Honorary Regent Carole Ann Peskin.
