Perkins still in first place after week six in CFL

 

PERKINS 13  ARDEN 6

Perkins built an 8-3 lead and held off Arden to remain undefeated and in first place. The win was led by four players who had 2 hits each, Jim Walter, Rick Stenson (2 RBI’s), Mike Hyott and Jim Wheeler (2 RBI’s). In the loss, Tim Carroll had 3 hits while Tom Bolte (2 RBI’s), Tony Prettitore, Roger Duncan and John Wyks each added 2 hits.

 

PAUL DAVIS RESTORATION 23  IHOP 20 in 8 innings

Paul Davis scored 3 in the 7th and 4 in the 8th and pulled off a game ending double play in this exciting contest. They were led by sub Jim Fellebaum who had 5 hits and 4 RBI’s and Lew Burhans who had 4 hits and 2 RBI’s. In addition, Chick Cicatelli, John Buchanan, Gary DePalma(5 RBI’s), Dick Adams (2 RBI’s) and Mike Hughes (4 RBI’s) all added 3 hits each. Wayne Mallory led IHOP with 4 hits and 4 RBI’s while sub Bill Dunkley added a home run. Larry Williams (2 RBI’s), Pete Mccaffery, Ed Bergheimer (2 RBI’s) and Dennis Bauch (2 RBI’s) each had 3 hits.

 

3AMIGOS 17  BABIARZ 9

3Amigos jumped to a 12-3 lead in this victory led by Bill Pauldine’s 4 hits. Bud Ramsey, Jim Faggiano, Dave Hinkley (4 RBI’s) and Ron Severson (4 RBI’s) all added 3 hits while Mark Hildebrand had 2 hits and 3 RBI’s. Ed Moriarity and Ray Nemetz both had 2 hits for Babiarz.

 

MULBERRY 16  SOFTBALL’S-R-GAME 13

Mulberry built a 16-8 lead and held off SRG for the win. Ed DeMaio led this win with 4 hits (3 doubles, 1 triple) and 4 RBI’s and Paul Justice had 2 hits and 5 RBI’s. Ed Haith and  George Loew both added 3 hits for the winners. Bob DePace had 4 hits for SRG while Bill Nisbet (2 RBI’s), Ev Rhyner and sub Dick Smith each added 3 hits. Pat Perkins also helped with 2 hits and 3 RBI’s.

 

HARLAN 10  HUMANA 5

Harlan built a 7-1 lead and held off Humana behind a balanced offense of 2 hits each from Woody Wood, Jack Meagher, Vince Caso, Tom Ceglie (3 RBI’s) and Ken Atkinson (home run). Al DuBuc also added a 2 run homer. Jim Kennedy led Humana with 3 hits and Tom McGann, Bob Roth and Bob Jacques each added 2 hits.

 

FROSS & FROSS 24  SYNERGY WEALTH 3

Ahead 8-3, Fross scored the next 16 runs in this romp. Jim Harrison (4 RBI’s) and pitcher Jim Joseph (2 RBI’s) led the win with 4 hits each. John Gouin, Jack Manter, Don Melcher (4 RBI’s) and Gary Colemen (2 RBI’s) all helped with 3 hits each. Synergy’s bats were relatively quiet with Jim Gordon getting 3 hits and sub Bill Landis and Tom LeDoux each adding 2 hits.
