The Villages Regional Hospital and Leesburg Regional Medical Center, both part of the Central Florida Health Alliance, received an “A” grade for patient safety in 2015 by The Leapfrog Group (Leapfrog), an independent industry watchdog.

Released Wednesday, new data from Leapfrog provides updated patient safety ratings for more than 2,500 general hospitals, helping consumers to make smarter choices in their personal health care. The Fall 2015 update to Leapfrog’s Hospital Safety Score, assigns A, B, C, D and F grades to hospitals based on their ability to prevent errors, injuries and infections.
The Hospital Safety Score is calculated by top patient safety experts, peer-reviewed, fully transparent and free to the public.
