The Villages has won permission to remove three more mobile homes on the Historic Side of The Villages and replace them with site-built homes.

The homes are located at:

• 1410 Lester Drive

• 842 Silver Oak Avenue

• 912 Cindy Drive

On Monday evening, Marty Dzuro of The Villages of Lake Sumter Inc. formally asked the Lady Lake Commission for permission to amend the existing comprehensive plan to allow for the change.

This is part of a long-range plan by The Villages to continue to remove old manufactured homes and replace them with site-built homes.

Thus far, The Villages has bought up about 90 lots on the Historic Side. About 50 manufactured homes have been or are in the process of being replaced.
