Liquid Lights, partnering with City Fire and Advanced Imaging, presented a $6,371 check to Michelle-O-Gram of Ocala on Thursday afternoon at City Fire at Brownwood.

The money was raised through Liquid Lights’ Third Annual Breast Wishes Pokerade earlier this year.

Marc Iceberg of Liquid Lights explained that the Pokerade was a parade of nearly 200 golf carts, starting at City Fire at Lake Sumter Landing and traveling to to City Fire at Brownwood.

A bra-decorating contest took place afterward, along with raffles for cash prizes.

Iceberg said he was grateful for the support of local sponsors such as Combat Veterans to Careers, Sonny’s BBQ, and Victory Cruise. Most of all, he gave a big thank you to the Villagers who came out and supported the cause.

He was pleased with the growing support each year and is looking forward to raising $10,000 next year.

Dione Moxley of Advanced Imaging said that ever since the first annual fundraiser, her group, along with Liquid Lights and City Fire, was able to double donations each year.

Sherry and Terry Roberts, who run Michelle-O-Gram, said they were overwhelmed with gratitude when they were presented with the check.

“We’re beyond amazed,” said Sherry.

She explained that with the money, local women can receive screening mammograms, diagnostic mammograms, and breast ultrasounds. Roberts said that the importance of screening is crucial for every woman to detect cancer immediately, but not all women can afford the procedures.
