Dynamic performers, like the snowbirds, just keep coming to The Villages and a sales date has been set for one of the biggest: Willie Nelson at The Sharon.
Also, Savannah Center is gearing up for a big week with “Rocky’s Lady Legends of Rock and Roll.”
But first Willie Nelson.
“Tickets for Willie’s March 8 concert go on sale Jan. 27,” said Joe Bamford of Get Off The Bus promotions. He is bringing Nelson to the Sharon L. Morse Performing Arts Center. No prices have been announced.
Tickets will also go on sale Jan. 27 for the Little River Band, best known for such soft rock hits as “Reminiscing,” “Cool Change” and “Lonesome Loser.”
The band will perform with members of The Villages Philharmonic Orchestra at The Sharon on March 10.
Savannah Center is also busy with big names.
Shirley Alston Reeves, lead singer for the Shirelles (“Soldier Boy” “Will You Still Love MeTomorrow”) headlines the “Ladies Legends” show at Savannah on Wednesday Jan. 27. Also on the bill: Peggy March (“I Will Follow Him”) and The Crystals (“Da Do Ron Ron”).
Local group FOXXX, with Petrina, Kathleen and Jules, will also be performing.
On Monday, Jan. 25, the energetic and popular Atlantic City Boys — Clark Barrios, Jeremy James, Dustin Fisher and Erik Winger – return to Savannah. They sing songs from the Four Seasons, Neil Diamond, the Beach Boys and just about everything in between.
Classical singers Michael Amante and Sal Richards come to Savannah on Tuesday, Jan 26 for a performance of “Caruso and Pagliaccio.”
Two other shows at Savannah worth noting are Dr. Ronan Tynan, “America’s Irish Tenor and the New York Yankees Tenor” on Feb. 3 and the ever-popular Lennon Sisters on Feb. 15.
