A semi hauling a tanker trailer jackknifed on Interstate 75 at the State Road 40 overpass Thursday afternoon.
The truck driver, 40-year-old Isidro Motola Fernandez of Groveland was driving north in his semi at 3:42 p.m.when he entered the median and jack knifed the semi when he attempted to come back on to I-75 in Marion County, according to an accident from the Florida Highway Patrol.
Fernandez was injured in the crash and was transported to Ocala Regional Medical Center. All northbound lanes were blocked as a result of the accident.
