Online registration for The Lily golf tournament will open Saturday, Feb. 27. Golfers can register at: www.thelily.org
The event will be held Saturday, July 16 at Glenview Champions Golf Course.

Deb Schlofman founded the tournament in 2001 in Georgia to honor her mother, Lily Grace Schlofman, who passed away after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s disease. The tournament was moved to The Villages in 2006. Deb died in 2009. Her friend Terry Peach picked up the torch and has been at the helm of The Lily ever since.
The golf scramble for ladies only, featuresstring to continue shots, hand tosses out of sand bunkers, walks on water and mulligans. “The Lily” Book of Tricks” makes for an enjoyable day for everyone. ( No handicap or Villages golf membership is required.)
Flights are determined by dividing team scores into five groups after play.
The event raises money for the Alzheimer’s Family Organization and Alzheimer’s Association, Central & North Florida.
Last year’s event raised $44,160.
