A 20-year-old Lady Lake man is facing charges that he stalked his ex-girlfriend at her workplace and home.
Kevin LaShaw Carter Jr. of 1262 Padgett Circle is free on $6,000 bond following his arrest this past week on felony warrants charging him with aggravated stalking and criminal mischief.
Carter and his new girlfriend allegedly went to Office Depot in Leesburg on April 11 where the mother of Carter’s two children is employed. The victim told law enforcement that Carter began calling her names and threatened to beat her up when she returned home.
When she returned home, Carter showed up at her home and began banging on her windows, according to an arrest warrant. She locked herself in the bathroom with her children.
She later told law enforcement officers that Carter is likely upset because he is behind on his child support payments. Carter had been taken into custody March 25 on a writ of bodily attachment due to the fact he is behind on his child support.
