A man who allegedly fled Belk with a stolen pair of Crocs is free on $1,000 bond following his arrest Saturday at La Plaza Grande shopping center in The Villages.
Daniel James Wisloh II of Ocklawaha entered the store at about 4:30 p.m. Saturday, placed the shoes in a shopping cart and left the store without paying for them, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. When he was confronted by the store’s loss prevention officer, Wisloh fled down the sidewalk. The loss prevention officer tackled Wisloh and held him until police arrived on the scene.
Wisloh is facing a charge of retail theft with resisting a merchant. He was booked at the Lake County Jail and released after posting bond.
