George Earl Whiting, 77, of Leesburg, FL, passed away Saturday, May 14, 2016. Mr. Whiting was born September 7, 1938 in Rochester, NY. He was an U.S. Air Force Veteran. He retired from Xerox in 1995 after 37 years as a copy repair technician. George was of the Catholic Faith, a former member of the Sodus Bay Heights Golf Club, a member of the Pultneyville Masonic Lodge and the American Legion. Survivors include his loving wife of 42 years, Elizabeth; 4 daughters, Jeanne Snipes, Joanna Vosburg, Shirley Magnuson and Kelly Wurtz; 5 sons, George Wallace, Greg Wallace, Mark Wallace, Glen Wallace and Mark McCabe; 15 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his late parents George Earl Whiting and Marcella McAuley Whiting.
