A woman’s vehicle struck a trailer being towed by another vehicle when she swerved in traffic to avoid a car stopping for a yellow light Thursday morning on State Road 44 at Buena Vista Boulevard.
Susanne Hella Schuler, 58, of Astor, had been traveling west on SR44 shortly after 9 a.m. when a vehicle in front of her stopped for a light which had turned from green to yellow, according to an accident report from the Wildwood Police Department. To avoid hitting the other vehicle, Schuler swerved into a trailer being towed by Angela Marie Watson, 46, of Fruitland Park.
Schuler was found to be at fault due to careless driving, the report indicated.
