Hector Garrido to offer ‘Latin Fusion’ in show Sunday at Temple Shalom

Hector Garrido has been a sideman for some of the biggest names in music. The list includes Gloria Estefan, Placido Domingo, Barry Manilow and Jon Secada.
Maestro Garrido has long been an influential music maker in The Villages and keyboardist moves into the spotlight on Sunday.
Garrido performs May 22 at 7 p.m. at Temple Shalom, 13563 CR101, Oxford. The concert is billed as “Latin Fusion.”  Joining Garrido is singer Carolyn Hoffman, along with Gilberto De Paz and Tony Brown.
Garrido was a close friend of the late Oscar Feliu, and like Feliu, Garrido was a musical pioneer in The Villages. During the course of his career, Garrido has also worked with such artists as Ricky Martin, Tito Puente and Celia Cruz.
Garrido will fuse traditional and classic Latin sounds in the concert at Temple Shalom.
