To the Editor:
Officially, “saving seats at the square IS NOT prohibited in The Villages.” If that were true, it would not be an ongoing aggravation. The Villages effectively enforces the things they wish to legally prohibit or prevent. Obviously, this recurring practice is not on their list. Therefore, it appears to be an accepted practice, rather than one that is prohibited. Should The Villages choose to prohibit it, they probably could. Until then, our expectation should probably be that “at times we will encounter saved seats at the square.” Either way, right or wrong, the aggravation may diminish or disappear.
