A resident living near the Southside pool is standing up against a petition seeking piped-in music at the facility.
District Manager Janet Tutt indicated her office is aware of the petition being circulated in favor of music at the swimming pool on the Historic Side of The Villages.
A resident appeared Wednesday morning before the Amenity Authority Committee speaking out against music at the adult pool.
She said while it might be entertaining for those visiting the pool, it would be annoying for her and her neighbors.
She said that with earbuds anyone can listen to music without disturburing others.
