A 22-year-old Lady Lake man was arrested Wednesday night after a fight with his grandmother over a phone charger.
Austin Tyler Kennedy had been staying with his grandmother in the April Hills subdivision in Lady Lake. Kennedy went into his grandmother’s bedroom, woke her up and demanded a phone charger, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. When she refused, Kennedy punched a hole in the wall. When she attempted to call 911, he slapped the phone out of her hand, the report indicated.
He is facing charges of domestic battery, criminal mischief and tampering with a witness. He was booked at the Lake County Jail on $3,000 bond.
Kennedy had been arrested last year after he was caught driving without headlights. You can read more about that arrest HERE
