George Washington Whetstone, 88, of The Villages, FL, passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at Lane Purcell Hospice House in Sumterville. George was a native of Detroit, Michigan and moved to Florida about 20 years ago. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army/Air Force.
He is preceded in death by his wife Joann La France Whetstone; and parents Mary and Walter Whetstone.
He will be interred privately at Florida National Cemetery.
