Susan L. Ferrandino (nee Ruggiero) 69, of The Villages, FL, passed away on July 11, 2016 after a four-year fight with cancer. Raised in Manhasset, NY, Susan also lived in Smithtown, NY and Holbrook, NY until moving to The Villages, FL in 2004.

Susan was very active in The Villages. She was the Secretary of the New York State Club where she organized events and parties. She enjoyed playing Mah Jong with her friends and loved playing golf. She was very proud that on two occasions she scored a “Hole-in-One”. Susan loved to travel with her husband John and their many friends on cruises and vacations. She especially loved when her family and grandchildren visited her in Florida.

Susan is survived by her husband John, who was the love of her life, her loving mother, Vivian Chapman Ruggiero, and her brother Frank. She is also survived by her four daughters, Christine Tattory and husband John, Jennifer Phelan Treco, Adrianne Flaherty and husband Kevin, and Susan Chandler & husband Shawn. She is also survived by three step-children, Lisa Spadafino and husband Tom, John Ferrandino and wife Kiran, and Anthony Ferrandino and wife Pat. Susan was the loving grandmother of 17 grandchildren: Michael, Lindsey & Andrew Tattory, Christopher, Courtney & Caroline Treco, Kevin, Catherine & Joseph Flaherty, Haley & Chelsey Chandler, Elizabeth, Julia and Alexandra Spadafino, Shaila & Nico Ferrandino and Andrew Ferrandino. She was loved by her many nieces, nephews and cousins. Susan is predeceased by her father Joseph Ruggiero and brothers Michael and John Ruggiero. She touched the hearts of all who knew her and her smiling face will be missed dearly by her family and all of her many friends.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at the Lady Lake Chapel of Beyers Funeral Home from 5 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 26, 2016. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Wildwood at 10 a.m.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
