Norma Jean Veit, age 77, of The Villages, FL, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2016. She was born in Chicago, IL on September 21, 1938. She moved to Palm Harbor, FL in 1979 and to The Villages, FL in 2001. Norma enjoyed pickleball, riding her bicycle, the pool, cooking, gardening and playing cards with her friends.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years Ronald Veit of The Villages, FL; sons Ron Veit of Las Vegas, NV and Andy (Tamara) Veit of Tampa, FL; sister Inez Soans of The Villages, FL; brother in law Chuck (Sandy) Veit of The Villages, FL; and her rescue puppy Buddy Boy.
A visitation will be held at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 1511 Buenos Aires Blvd, The Villages, FL on Sunday, August 7, 2016 from 2 – 4 p.m. with family comments at 3 p.m. Burial will take place at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL on Monday, August 8, 2016 at 10:30 a.m.
