Wildwood commissioners took action on a slew of development projects at Monday night’s meeting.
They approved final plats for three Village of Fenney neighborhoods, a site plan for a proposed Wawa gas station and convenience store as well as several other projects.
At the Village of Fenney, the latest Villages community about four miles down County Road 468 from State Road 44, final plats were approved for the 62-unit Hyacinth Villas along with 125-home and 99-home subdivisions.
A site plan was approved for a single-story 6,119-square-foot building for a Wawa gas station and convenience store on about five acres at U.S. 301 and County Road 466. The approval comes despite a dispute with the Oxford United Methodist Church over the church’s well, which may be on the Wawa property.
A site plan also was approved for My Garage, a business in the Business Park 44 South Industrial Park that provides vehicle storage and self-service areas. Expansion will include six 12,000-square-foot buildings, one 9,750-square-foot building and a 5,000-square-foot storage building.
At New Life Christian Church on County Road 462, a site plan was approved for a single-story 15,997-square-foot building and a 900-square-foot storage building on 8.7 acres. .
Rezoning was approved for the 13.9-acre Kolter Acquisitions property south of SR 44 across from Buena Vista Boulevard that eventually will be part of larger residential development
About 3.6 acres south of County Road 466A near Gray Avenue was rezoned for a proposed office development.
Commissioners voted to annex to Wildwood more than 65 acres along County Road 101 north of CR 466 near Wal-Mart.
They also approved a developer’s agreement with Belladel, owner of property along the south side of CR 466A west of Powell Road, where a 8,442-square-foot, three-doctor medical office building is proposed. Belladel agreed to pay $71,214 for a sewer line extension.
