Police were called this past Saturday to the Mark Twain Library on the Historic Side of The Villages when a Villager banned from all Villages property showed up.
Richard N. Hendricks, 79, showed up at the library at about 11:15 a.m., according to an incident report from the Lady Lake Police Department.
Community Watch had provided library staff with a photo of Hendricks and advised them that he was not permitted on Villages property. Hendricks, who has been advised by letters that he is not allowed on Villages property, has been arrested four times this year for violating the ban.
When approached by library personnel, Hendricks willingly identified himself. Library personnel contacted Community Watch and police, however, Hendricks left before they arrived.
Hendricks has been arrested this year at the Orange Blossom Hills Country Club swimming pool, Rio Grand Family Pool and Spanish Springs Town Square. He was recently banned from The Pub restaurant on Avenida Central after showing up there.
Already classified a “vexatious litigant” by the Town of Lady Lake, this year Hendricks has filed lawsuits against Villages Recreation Director John Rohan, Villages Entertainment Department Director Brian Russo, staff at Golf Management Solutions, the general manager of Orange Blossom Hills Country Club and a supervisor with Community Watch.
