Student allegedly attacks fellow student in unprovoked attack at Lake Weir High School

A student has been ordered to perform work in lieu of arrest following an unprovoked attack Monday on a fellow student at Lake Weir High School.

A teacher witnessed the attack in which the student kicked the fellow student who was lying on the floor, according to an incident report from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.

The female victim, who said she did not know her attacker, declined medical attention and was released to her mother.
