Video surveillance helped local law enforcement track down a pair of suspects in an October theft case at Kohl’s in Lady Lake.

A man and woman entered the store at 7:15 p.m. on Oct. 10 and the man took a pair of Marley speakers while a female companion took two Columbia pillowcases, a pink bra, underwear and an accent rug and left the store without paying for them. They got into a black SUV and left the parking lot, but not before a loss prevention officer was able to take down the vehicle’s license plate number.
Using video surveillance, the loss prevention officer working with Lady Lake police was able to identify the suspects as 45-year-old Kevin Lamar Greene of Sorrento and 47-year-old Laura Ann Dean of Mount Dora.
Warrants were obtained and the pair was taken into custody on Dec. 5.
Dean, who was also wanted on an Orange County warrant charging her with failure to appear, was booked at the Lake County Jail, where she was being held without bond.
Greene was booked at the jail on $2,000 bond.
