In the last 13 months, The Villages has successfully annexed four properties on Silver Oak Avenue into the town of Lady Lake. During Monday’s Lady Lake Commission meeting, commissioners annexed a fifth site located at 850 Silver Oak Ave.
Like the other properties on the street, the fifth site was purchased by the Villages of Lake Sumter in the ongoing revitalization efforts throughout the Historic Side of The Villages.
The other homes/lots purchased by The Villages on the street are located at:
828 Silver Oak Avenue
830 Silver Oak Avenue
842 Silver Oak Avenue
852 Silver Oak Avenue
When the Historic Section of The Villages was originally built, homeowners were given the option of being located in the Town of Lady Lake or in Lake County. Each annexation provides the opportunity to clean up the “enclaves” of properties classified differently.
The annexations are providing an infusion of home sales into the oldest parts of The Villages.
