Robert Rene Rinck, Sr., of The Villages, Florida, and formerly of Rochester, New York, passed into the night on February 27, 2017 a few days after his 82nd birthday. Chief Warrant Officer 4, Robert R. Rinck, Sr., United States Army, (Retired).
Bob, as he is known among friends, retired after 40 plus years with Rochester Telephone Corporation in New York and over 41 years with the Army, National Guard and Florida’s finest, the American Legion Post 347.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years Lou Rinck; children Desiree Finley (Greg), Robert “Bobby” Jr. (Diana), Joe (Deb), Chuck (Terry), Maria Waller (Jerry) and Mike (Val); step-children Lu Ann (Jim), Jo Ann (Frank); sister Mimi McMahon (John); many grandchildren and great-children.
He is preceded in death by his parents Rene and Diane Rinck.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 from 2 – 4 p.m. with a funeral service at 3 p.m., located at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 1511 Buenos Aires Blvd., The Villages, FL 32159. Chief Rinck will be buried in Arlington, Virginia with other Hero’s later this year.
