A night deposit was stolen from a locked vehicle last week at Lady Lake Discount Beverage & Smoke.
A 2003 Mitsubishi Endeavor owned by Anwarali Thanwala, 56, of Lady Lake, was parked at the discount beverage store at 207 U.S. Hwy. 27/441 between 9:12 and 9:46 p.m. April 25, according to an incident report from the Lady Lake Police Department. The driver’s side window was smashed and a thief took the planned $6,236 night deposit.
The case remains under investigation.
