A driver clocked driving at 76 miles per hour on County Road 466A in The Villages was arrested Sunday afternoon for driving without a license.
Jose A. Lozano-Aranda, 35, of Lady Lake, offered a Mexican identification card to a Sumter County sheriff’s deputy who made the traffic stop. He told the deputy his Florida driver’s license had been suspended. The deputy confirmed that the license had been suspended for failure to pay traffic fines as well as failure to meet financial responsibility. His license was canceled indefinitely for “non-US Citizen denied renewal.”
Lozano-Aranda was arrested on a felony charge of driving while license suspended and booked without bond at the Sumter County Detention Center. He was also arrested for violating his probation.
