A jackknifed horse trailer interrupted traffic flow on Interstate 75 in Alachua County Wednesday afternoon.
Candice Healey, 32, of Loxahatchee was driving a Ford F450 that pulled a horse trailer southbound in the right lane of I-75 when Healey lost control of the vehicle, according to a Florida Highway Patrol accident report. The weight of the horse trailer caused Healey’s vehicle to jackknife and collide against the guardrail at mile marker 374, the report stated.
I-75 was closed intermittently between 2 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. because of the incident.
