
Frank Joseph Mirovsky, 92, of Leesburg, FL, was born July 24, 1924 in New York City and passed away June 2, 2017.
Mr. Mirovsky was a veteran of the U.S. Army who proudly served his country during WWII. He was longtime resident of Cedar, MN before moving to Leesburg in 1998. He was active locally as a member of the Leesburg Heritage Society and a docent at the Mote-Morris House. Additionally he enjoyed playing horseshoes, archery, canoeing and kayaking and was an avid stamp collector. A man of great faith and a devout Catholic, he attended St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Leesburg. In December of 2015 he moved to Crane’s View Lodge in Clermont, FL, where he made many friends.
Survivors include: wife Joan of Winter Garden, FL; daughter Christine Charlton of Sarasota, FL; son Frank J. (Elizabeth A. Adler) Mirovsky, Jr. of Middlebury, CT; daughter Jo Crandall of Coon Rapids, MN; son Dennis J. (Karen S. Peed) Mirovsky of Cedar, MN; son Kenneth S. (Michelle) Mirovsky of Andover, MN; 10 grandchildren; six great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; as well as three sisters: Beatrice Jones, Donna Cambas and Penny Hunsberger.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Paul’s Catholic Church on June 23, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. Interment including Military Honors will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL at 11 a.m. For those who wish and in lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to: Villages Honor Flight, Inc., PO Box 490, Lady Lake, FL 32158-0490.
