Almost after a year since his last visit to The Villages, Fox News host Eric Bolling returned to Florida’s Friendliest Hometown Saturday afternoon for a book signing at the Barnes & Noble in Lake Sumter Landing.
The book signing was for his brand new novel “The Swamp: Washington’s Murky Pool of Corruption and Cronyism and How Trump can Drain it,” and it drew a crowd of Fox News fans and supporters of President Donald Trump.

Bolling arrived at 3:30 p.m. and spoke with audience members on topics such as why he wrote the book and his potential political endeavors.
The Fox News host explained that reporters have asked him about his plans after television, in which he answered that he was open to running for Senate.
He said Politico has interviewed him about his statement regarding running for Senate, but he has no specifics such as which state he would run in.
He also mentioned procuring a spot in the administration if things were properly set up.
Bolling discussed his close relationship with President Trump, citing how he has been to the Oval Office to show the book to the president, and also talked about his advice to Trump on draining the swamp and continuing his use of Twitter.
“I certainly wouldn’t be tweeting some of the things he tweets, at least I’m seeing the psychology behind Donald Trump,” he said on Trump’s tweeting habits.
Fans lined up since noon to see the Fox News host and hundreds of books were bought, according to the store’s manager Becky Boldizar.

Villagers Ed and Dorie Rendemonti presented a photo of Bolling and Dorie that was taken at Disney World on February 26, 2015. Dorie said she saw Bolling at one of the park’s restaurant and that he asked her if she wanted a picture with him.
When she asked Bolling if he remembered that moment, he said he did and signed the photo.
A group of friends, who met at Bolling’s book signing last year, showed up at the event to tell Bolling about how his book signing in 2016 brought them together to be best friends.
Kim, a Village of Mallory resident, said she and her husband John were waiting for two hours in line at last year’s signing and ended up bonding with Bobbie Reid and Steven DeLucchi of Calumet Grove. Ever since that day, the four of them have been best friends and attended the book signing.

Village of Santo Domingo residents Don and Phyllis Jessup shared their excitement in meeting Bolling, whom they watch every day.
