Additional signage will be added near a tunnel south of County Road 466A not far from the Sarasota Practice Facility.
The Project Wide Advisory Committee on Monday morning agreed to add the signage after hearing a report from an engineer from Kimley-Horn & Associates Inc.
Engineer Richard Busche said his firm has previously evaluated this intersection in 2014 and 2015. It did not recommend action either of those times. However, traffic at that location has continued to increase.
There is a stop sign already in place on the path leading from the driving range.
“Golf cart drivers seem to be obeying that stop sign,” Busche said.
Busche said additional signage would clarify that traffic coming from the tunnel has the right of way.
