A 24-year-old man was killed in a motorcycle crash Wednesday in Marion County.
William Curtis “Billy” Blair of Deltona was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident which occurred at 5:34 p.m. on County Road 42 east of the intersection of SE 258th Avenue Road, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol.
According to multiple witnesses, Blair’s 2008 Suzuki motorcycle exited his travel lane and entered the eastbound travel lane, where it collided with a 1995 Chevy Silverado driven by Alecia Smith, 40, of Umatilla. She suffered minor injuries and was transported to Ocala Regional Medical Center.
According to his Facebook page, Blair worked as an electrician and studied electrical distribution at Seminole State College.
