Community Development District 7 Supervisor Jerry Vicenti will be stepping up to a new role with regard to amenities south of County Road 466.

Vicenti has been appointed as CDD 7’s primary representative to the Project Wide Advisory Committee. He succeeds Ron Ruggeri who recently resigned from the CDD 7 board.
“There will be significantly expanded responsibilities now that it includes more than just infrastructure and the multi-modal path,” said CDD 7 Chairman Ron McMahon.
Vicenti already has some experience, having served as CDD 7’s alternate representative on PWAC.
CDD 7 Supervisor Dennis Broedlin was chosen as the board’s new alternate representative to PWAC.
The CDD 7 board has also taken the first steps toward filling Ruggeri’s vacant seat.
The board will be accepting applications to succeed Ruggeri, who had served as a supervisor since 2010.
The board plans to interview applicants beginning at 8 a.m. Aug. 24.

Any interested applicants must be a qualified elector which is defined by Florida Statute 190 as “any person at least 18 years of age who is a citizen of the United States, a legal resident of Florida and of the district, and who registers to vote with the Supervisor of Elections in the county in which the district land is located”. Applications must be submitted to the District Clerk no later than 5 p.m. on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at the District Office, 984 Old Mill Run, The Villages.
