Village of Bonnybrook woman employed at Belk to answer in court in alleged theft of shoes 

A Village of Bonnybrook woman will have to answer in court to an alleged theft of shoes from Belk, where she was employed.

Kimberla Kay Travis, 59, had been working Sept. 2 at the store at La Plaza Grande in The Villages when she purchased a pair of shoes for $33.13, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. On Sept. 8, she returned the shoes for a refund of $33.13. Although she took the money from the return and put it in her purse, she later left the store with the shoes.

She was issued a misdemeanor citation for retail theft. She will have to answer to the charge in Lake County Court.
