William Roy ‘Scoop’ Felkner

William Roy “Scoop” Felkner, 78, of The Villages, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2017. Scoop was born on October 19, 1938 in Texas City, Texas.

He served with distinction in the United States Coast Guard and retired as a Chief Warrant Officer after 20 years of service.

Survivors include loving wife of 38 years Marilyn Felkner; sons Charles Scott Felkner (Janet) and Robert Valton Felkner; step-sons Charles Stuart Thompson (Angie) and Brady William Thompson (Shasta); sisters Ellen Freeman (Bobby) and Margaret DeLorge (Ron); 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

He is preceded in death by his son William Roy “Skip” Felkner, Jr. and parents Lois Eckfeld and Truman Felkner.

Memorial service date and time is pending.
