A 33-year-old man has been arrested on two counts of attempted murder in a road-rage shooting Saturday morning on the Florida Turnpike in Lake County.
Kwanza Jermaine Donald, 33, of Orlando, was taken into custody on Sunday by the Florida Highway Patrol. He was booked at the Lake County Jail.
Troopers were able to review surveillance video and identified Donald’s vehicle as being in the area and matching the victims’ description. Donald contacted law enforcement on Sunday and after Troopers interviewed him, he was placed under arrest.
A handgun was located in his 2003 Toyota Camry.
A man and a woman were transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center after they were wounded at about 10:15 a.m. Saturday during the incident in the southbound lanes near Mile Marker 272.
