A man suspected in the theft of Fitbits and digital thermometers during a trio of trips to Target has been tracked down by law enforcement.
The man entered the store at Rolling Acres Plaza on Jan. 13, 14 and 20. He used a device to remove anti-shoplifting packaging from digital thermometers and four Fitbit smart watches. The merchandise was later tracked down at a pawn shop. A clerk at the pawn shop was able to identify the man who pawned the items as Russell Scott Henry, 31, of Summerfield. His image had been captured by the store’s surveillance system.
He was tracked down Wednesday at the Palm Beach County Jail and arrested on multiple warrants in the case.
He was transferred to the Lake County Jail where bond was set at $12,000.
