Bridgeport at Miona Shores man arrested after alleged attack on fiance at Villages hotel

Brian Paul Sobocinski

A Village of Bridgeport at Miona Shores man was arrested on New Year’s Eve after an alleged attack on his fiance at a Villages hotel.

Lady Lake police responded to the Hacienda Hotel on Avenida Central after a 911 call for medical help was disconnected.

When police officers arrived on the scene, they saw that the woman who had attempted to place the call was bleeding from her mouth and her eye was swollen, according to an arrest report. She said she had tried to call 911 from the hotel phone, but her fiance, 39-year-old Brian Paul Sobocinski of 2364 Clearwater Run, grabbed the phone and disconnected the receiver.

He was taken into custody on charges of battery and tampering with a 911 call. He was booked at the Lake County Jail and released after posting $8,000 bond.

In 2014, Sobocinski had been naked when he was arrested outside a hotel in Boca Raton.
