Ronald Peter Boese, of The Villages, FL, passed away in Leesburg Reginal Medical Center on January 12, 2018 after a fourteen year battle with Parkinson’s disease. Ron was born in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada to Peter and Tina Boese on March 23, 1944.
Ron is survived by his wife Linda Boese of 51 years, his two children, Ron and wife Arlene Boese, David and wife Karina Boese and his grandson Brayden Boese. He is also survived by his brothers Ted and wife Verna, Robert and wife Patricia, 5 nieces and nephews and 6 great nieces and nephews.
Ron was raised in St. Catharines, Ontario Canada. He lived in Fort Erie, Ontario and Williamsville NY. He retired and moved to the Villages in 2001.
He had a long successful career in large scale computer marketing for NCR and Honeywell. He was an avid golfer and belonged to Tan Tara Golf Club in Williamsville New York. In retirement he was an active golfer in the Villages. Ron had a hole in one on the third hole of the Amelia Course at Mallory Hill Country Club on November 24, 2008, 5 years after his diagnosis with Parkinson’s disease.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held on Friday January 19, 2018 at the Hiers-Baxley Funeral and Cremation Life Event Center, 3975 Wedgewood Lane, The Villages, FL 32162. Visitation at 11 a.m., service at 11:30 a.m. with lunch to follow.
