Four Sumter Landing Bicycle Club riders were involved in a serious accident Wednesday  at SW 145th St. and SW 8th Ave. in Marion County as they returned from the Race Trac convenience store.  

Those suffering injuries were:

• Villager Sharon Lavoie suffered multiple injuries including broken bones, dislocated joints, contusions, abrasions, stitches, dental and others. She was moved Saturday from Ocala Regional Medical Center to a rehabilitation unit in The Villages.

• Villager Rod Tomkins suffered multiple injuries  including fractures and others. He was anticipating being released Sunday from the Ocala Regional Medical Center.

• SLBC member Tom DiLibero of Del Webb Spruce Creek was treated at an urgent care center for multiple injuries including bruises, joint, stitches and others.
