
Karen Lynn McDermott, of The Villages, FL, died peacefully on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at the Cornerstone Hospice 601 Casa Bella, The Villages, FL 32162 surrounded by her loving family. Karen was born on May 16th 1945 in, Queens, NY. Born to Ernest Albert LeVay and Alice Gloria Stevenson.
She loved golf, rescuing dogs, dog sitting, animals in general and planting flowers. She moved to Lake Co. late 1980”s, opened up the Laundromat in Leesburg, then she purchased the General Feed Store in Lady Lake. Finally she opened and operated the 1st Natures Table restaurant in The Villages and converted it into “The Main Street Bistro”.
Karen is survived by her two sons Scott (Lillia) Wolfe of Franklin, NC; Hank (Kim) Hunter of Verona, VA., her daughters Michelle, Sandra and Diane Hunter. She Leaves her grandchildren; Lil. Karen (Jerome) Gunn, Heather (Dave) Parisoe, Reid and Dalton Wolfe, Kara and Maelynn Hunter. And great great-grandchildren (Miranda, Jacob) Gunn, (Lyla Bell, Ephraim) Parisoe, Harper Wolfe.
A Celebration of Karen’s Life will be held on Saturday, February 17 at the Beyers Funeral Home 134 North Highway 27/441in Lady Lake. Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the funeral home from 2 to 3 p.m.
